It still looks and works just fine, showing average wear, light scratches, and minor signs of use. The brand is COMSTOCK SILVERSMITHS and they hallmark stamped the buckle as being "COMSTOCK SILVER", which means that a heavy layer of sterling silver was BONDED (not plated) to the buckle surfaces. Bonding yields better durability and appearance than the electroplating process. The result is a buckle that gives the full appearance and will tarnish over time just like solid sterling silver buckles will.
