Antique LIBERTY & CO Oliver Baker Designed Sterling Belt Buckle Waist Clasp 1900

An exquisite creation designed by painter Oliver Baker and made by W. H Haseler & Co in Birmingham, England in 1900 for Liberty & Co. A sterling silver buckle with a centered cabochon and hammered scrollwork on each side. It is hallmarked with an anchor (Birmingham), lion (Sterling) and an "a" (1900). The "L & Co" mark is set in three diamonds.

The cabochon is a chalcedony, a moss agate. We have not polished this piece, we leave that to your discretion. There is some light tarnish on the hammered scrollwork, visible in the photos.

Any other discolorations seen in the photos are reflections. Approx width 4.25 inches (11.43 cm). Approx height 2.5 inches (6.35 cm).
