Burtons California Super Rare Antique Sterling Silver Western Ranger Belt Buckle

VERY RARE ANTIQUE OLD WESTERN AMERICAN. BURTONS BRAND, CALIFORNIA, HAND ENGRAVED STERLING SILVER RANGER STYLE MONOGRAM PLATE BELT BUCKLE. This old western sterling silver buckle looks similar to a Srour or McCabe brand, but it was hallmarked with "BURTONS, L C, CALIF, STERLING", as our photos show. It might have been produced by one of the famous makers we mentioned for a saddle/tack retailer and stamped with the retailers brand name...

We would appreciate input from anyone who knows more about the "BURTONS" hallmark. The buckle measures 1 3/4" x 1 1/2", has an opening to take belt straps up to 5/8 wide and weighs about (a little less than) one ounce.

The condition is very good true vintage. It has a blank diamond shaped monogram plate and a naturally aged patina.
