Lot Of 2 Old Vintage Western Sterling Silver Ruby & Gold Belt Buckle Ends Tips
LOT OF 2 VERY OLD WESTERN STERLING SILVER, GOLD & GEM STONE BELT BUCKLE END OR TIP PIECES-- Both of these sterling silver belt buckle ends come from a private old western American belt buckle collection. We estimate they are from the 1950's era. We think that the gold toned rosettes and accents contain actual gold, but we are not certain if it is solid, filled, or heavy gold bonded. The red gem stone in the larger end piece could be a Ruby or red garnet, but once again, we are not certain. This larger end piece is quite heavy for its size.
It measures 1 7/8" long by 1" wide, has an opening to take belts up to 7/8 wide, and weighs one ounce on our scale. The smaller end is still attached to a belt strap and measures one inch long by 5/8 wide. The belt portion attached to it is also 5/8 wide.
