Rare Vintage Antique Plata Joy Mex 925 Mexico Sterling Silver Horse Belt Buckle

WONDERFUL MID 20TH CENTURY TRUE VINTAGE OLD WESTERN PLATA JOY MEX. 925 STERLING SILVER HIGH DEFINITION HAND ENGRAVED HORSE HEAD BELT BUCKLE MADE IN MEXICO-- This fantastic antique sterling silver hand made belt buckle features some very intricate engraving and a double layer swirled filigree design that makes the center portion and the raised 3-D horse head stand out boldly.

The condition is excellent pre-owned vintage showing minor and customary slightly darker natural oxidation that actually makes it look even better than new. It has a tribal warrior image at the center of the Plata Joy Mex 925 hallmark that may help to identify the exact artisan or company location but we are not certain who is associated with that image.

It could just be the Joy Mex symbol. The dimensions are 3 1/4" x 2 1/8", fits belts up to 1 1/2 wide and weighs 65 grams or 2.3 ounces on our scale.
