Spectacular Old GC01 Mexico 925 Sterling Silver Gold Wash Horseshoe Belt Buckle

OLD VINTAGE COWBOY WESTERN LUCKY HORSESHOE DESIGN STERLING SILVER AND GOLD WASH OR GOLD FILLED SIGNED GUADALAJARA MEXICO GC01 BELT BUCKLE- This handcrafted and hand engraved sterling & gold horseshoe buckle was made in Mexico with the stamped designation of GC01. A very knowledgeable and world famous collector told us that these designations indicate both the area (G-Guadalajara) and the exact company and individual (C01) who hand made these buckles. So, most of these old Mexico sterling buckles are actually unique and were created one by one in certain shops by craftsman who put their company and personal initials or numbers on the buckles. We thank the expert who shared this information with us. The only minor imperfection on this one is a slightly bent peg clasp, as our photos show.

However, it does NOT effect the use of the buckle... It still looks and works fantastic when on a belt. The measurements are 3 3/8" x 2", fits belts up to 1 7/8 wide, and weighs about 45 grams or just over 1.5 ounces on our scale. We are not certain if the gold accents and monogram plates are solid, gold wash, gold filled, or gold bonded..
