Vintage 1921 Morgan Dollar Coin Comstock Bonded Sterling Silver Belt Buckle
OLD WESTERN AMERICAN VINTAGE COMSTOCK SILVER 1921 MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR COIN BELT BUCKLE- This premium pre-owned made in the USA belt buckle is hallmarked as being "Comstock Silver". That designation means that a heavy layer of sterling silver was bonded, not electroplated, to the surface of this belt buckle. The result is a buckle that gives the full appearance of sterling silver with much better durability than electroplating.
This one was very lightly engraved with the initials O. On the top banner, however, the etching is light and it can easily be sanded or Emory clothed off if you'd like a blank banner instead. It does show minor signs of use, but well below average for its age.Measures 3 7/8" x 2 1/2", fits belts up to 1 1/2 wide, and weighs about 3 ounces.
