William devenport Sterling Silver Belt Buckle DECORATIVE DESIGN. Antique Victorian Sterling Etched Curved Handmade Belt Buckle This triple pronged belt buckle is made of cast sterling silver and would be perfect for a velvet or other heavy cloth belt.

The ends of the prongs are quite sharp on their ends. Some heft but plenty of delicacy to this functional and beautiful curved hand chased Sterling Silver belt buckle. The chasing is exquisitely done in an elaborate floral design that is beautiful and in great condition The buckle hinges smoothly and soundly on its center posting, and stays put and snug wherever it is left. It is very pretty and 113 years old!

The patina is nice--more shine on the front deeper in the crevices, more uneven tarnish on the back. No large scratches, dents, or issues--normal wear from age and gentle use.
