6 Conchos + 7 Butterflies + 1 Belt Buckle. 3.35" X 2.8". 2.85" X 1.4".
4.0" X 2.9". Brown Leather Belt is 37" and is set up now for a 33" - 36 waist. It is 1.0 wide. It may be modified to accommodate a smaller waist by adding an additional hole and removing any Cohchos and Butterflies as needed. If you need a belt larger than 36, I would suggest that you have a new belt strap made to make it perfect for you. The Conchos are each backed with copper straps and can slide off easily when needed to place them on a new belt. 605.3 grams = 19.46 Troy ounces Total Weight. This great old Navajo Concho Belt was made by "TC". But I'm not so sure about who crafted this one.
Tom Cayanito, another Dine artist, is a possibility. In any event, it is splendid.
It has some very compelling shapes that are subtle and smooth looking with each piece having deep repousee and the Conchos also have deep stamping achieving a balance in appearance. The 14 Large Green Turquoise each have rust brown cloudy matrix.
My guess is that the Turquoise is from the Royston Turquoise Mine in Nevada. The Concho Belt is probably 20 years old. It has a very light tarnish patina. And has the artists hallmark "TC". It is Not stamped "Sterling" but it is guaranteed to be Sterling Silver and authentic.
If you have a larger waist than 37 (like me), this belt strap would need to be replaced. Please, take a good look at the pictures and magnified photographs to see if it is the one for you. If so, I'd love to trade with you today!
I will pack this carefully for you so that the conchos do not rub up against each other in transit and it will get to you in the same condition that you see in the pictures. I thank You and look forward to sharing a good experience! Recomended Reference Books - This artist is referenced if there is a page # shown below.
